From Idea to Reality

It all started with a craving. We kept asking why there were no halal short ribs in the Bay Area. So, we decided to make our own. After experimenting with recipes and marinating 25 pounds of short ribs for a local Ramadan event, we sold out in under two hours. That’s when we realized there was something special here. We were in our last semester of college, and though we loved cooking, we let the idea go. But after graduating and struggling to find a job, we remembered those ribs and decided to take a chance. In August 2023, we started doing pop-ups, and they were a hit. We added halal bacon-wrapped hotdogs, which took off even more. That’s when Bibz N Ribz was born. By January 2024, we bought our own food truck, committed to turning our passion into a career. No more waiting around then we were all in.
